It's been a while since the last time I tried coloring traditionally, but from my perspective on digital art, I can advice you to use complementary colors. Since you have no background and most likely no other objects ligth reflecting on the character's surface, try using the basics:
For pink(ish) skin, orange and brown shadows and white/yellowish lights
On his green outfit, use purple shadows and light blue lights
and for the white parts, try grayish blue
Blue mixes wonderfully with purple and red, for impact effect... There's a meme on the group to explain complementary colors ( a bunch)! I've been studying them
